While not much is known about the new season's storylines, Storm Reid – who plays Rue's younger sister, Gia – said that the season 1 cliffhanger will be addressed early on. Speaking to, she said: "Our whole show is for your own interpretation, and I did see the things where people ask me if [Rue] was deceased or not, or if she had relapsed in the last episode.
In terms of the cast, we know that alongside Zendaya, Angus Cloud will be returning as Fezco, Sydney Sweeney as Cassie Howard, Barbie Ferreira as Kat Hernandez, Maude Apatow as Lexi Howard, and Hunter Schafer as Jules Vaughn.Unfortunately there's no official release date or trailer yet, though we imagine the new season will follow the same launch pattern as the first, releasing in the US first before coming to the UK.
