Zelensky Sees Timeline for End of Ukraine War, Will Speak to Trump Today

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky said he will speak with U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky said he sees Russia's war on Ukraine ending in 2025.'I believe that in this year the war will properly end with a decent peace,' Zelensky said at a press conference in Finland alongside Finnish President Alexander Stubb.'We need security guarantees for Ukraine, though, otherwise Putin will come back with war.'Zelensky said he will speak to U.S.

Putin did not agree to a 30-day ceasefire as proposed by the U.S. and Ukraine.However, he said Russia would immediately stop strikes on energy infrastructure, which Ukraine had also agreed to. Putin also agreed to talk further on a potential maritime ceasefire in the Black Sea.Reports of strikes hitting energy infrastructure continued to emerge from both sides of the conflict after the Trump-Putin call.
