The game will be released on Friday, May 12 and the Nintendo World store in New York city is hosting a midnight launch on the Thursday night., some players have already started lining up outside the store, even though there’s a reservation system in place to make such queues unnecessary. Alex Pekala, who calls himself ‘Captain Nintendo Dude’ and was first in line for the Switch after queuing outside Nintendo World for a full month, turned up at 10am on Tuesday to start queueing for Tears of the Kingdom – even though this time he won’t be allowed to enter the store at midnight.
