Released back in 2013 for the Nintendo 3DS, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is an action-adventure title which marks the 17th installment in the beloved The Legend of Zelda franchise. Released as the spiritual successor to 1991's The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds sees players take on the role of Link once more as he sets out to restore peace to the land of Hyrule following the capture of Princess Zelda.
Receiving critical acclaim, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds introduced the ability for Link to merge himself into walls, giving players the chance to explore a whole new feature that had not yet been seen in the franchise. Praised for its soundtrack, gameplay, and nostalgic setting, A Link Between Worlds received multiple nominations and awards, and even welcomed a sequel, Tri Force Heroes, in 2015. Nintendo Needs To Bring This Zelda Game To Switch 2 However, much like fellow The Legend of Zelda entries such as Twilight Princess, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds deserves to receive a Nintendo Switch 2 port. Not only will it give new players the chance to explore this 2013 title for the first time, but thanks to the power of the newest Nintendo handheld, A Link Between Worlds will gain that much needed 4K update. Unfortunately, Nintendo has not yet announced a remake or remaster for A Link Between Worlds, and there are no plans to bring it to the Classics Collection for Nintendo Switch Online. Not yet, anyway. However, that has not stopped fans from finding a way to show us what we are missing. Courtesy of Henriko Magnifico Showcase over on YouTube, we can now see what The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds will look like following a 4K update, and there is no denying that, thanks to a simple texture pack, the 2013 title has never looked better.
