Zeekr 's second electric shooting brake model is turning heads with its sleek design, impressive specifications, and upcoming Europe an debut. Scheduled to arrive in the second quarter of 2025, the model will be known as the Zeekr 7GT in Europe , likely sharing the market with the 007 sedan. While pricing remains undisclosed, it is expected to surpass its Chinese counterpart's $30,000 price tag due to tariffs and markups.
The 7GT boasts a distinctive profile, characterized by its elongated roofline, fastback rear glass, and floating roof design. These elements create a sportier and more visually appealing aesthetic compared to its main European competitor, the Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer, and even rival the more expensive Audi A6 E-Tron Avant. Zeekr's marketing strategy strongly emphasizes its European target audience, with official images showcasing the 7GT in distinctly European settings.Sharing the platform with the rest of the Zeekr lineup, the 7GT is built on Geely's Sustainable Electric Architecture (SEA), enabling its 800-volt capability. This high-voltage system, coupled with the innovative Golden Battery, delivers a peak DC fast charging speed of 500 kilowatts. This remarkable charging technology allows the 7GT to replenish its battery with an estimated 311 miles (500 km) of range in just 15 minutes, making it the world's fastest charging battery according to Zeekr. The Golden Battery, a proprietary lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry solution developed by Geely, offers a higher volume utilization rate compared to other manufacturers, further enhancing its efficiency. The 7GT's powertrain options mirror the 007 sedan, offering either a single-motor rear-wheel-drive setup with 416 horsepower or a dual-motor configuration boasting 637 hp. In China, the 007 sedan is available with 75.6 kWh and 100 kWh battery packs, with the latter achieving a range of up to 540 miles (870 km) on the Chinese test cycle. While European range figures remain to be confirmed, the larger Zeekr 001 (the company's first shooting brake model) with the 100 kWh battery currently boasts a WLTP range rating of 385 miles (620 km) in Germany, starting at €59,900 or $62,400.The Zeekr 7GT's arrival in Europe positions it as a strong contender in the fast-growing electric shooting brake segment.
