The 70-year-old was sentenced to one month in prison after he was found guilty of the verbally insulting Al Ahly president Mahmoud El-Khatib.According to Zamalek's official website, as per, Mansour is now set to make a return to the club, while it was also confirmed that the team will also announce their new head coach in due course.
"Mortada Mansour decided to go to the club's headquarters on Thursday to resume his duties and take a tour among the club's board members," the club's statement read. "Zamalek will hold a press conference on Friday to discuss a number of important matters, including the new head coach."Earlier this month, Jesualdo Ferreira was sacked by Zamalek for the second time this season after their poor showing in the Egyptian Cup, the Egyptian Premier League and the CAF Champions League.
The Egyptian giants have now been knocked out of Africa's premier club competition at the group stage for a third successive season.
