The teen was instrumental in the lead-up to the first goal after he turned St Mirren's Scott Tanser inside and out
The 17-year-old started his first league game for the Ibrox club in Paisley as interim manager Steven Davis rewarded the youngster for his fine form with the B team.
As he attempted to skip past Alex Gogic on the wing he immediately pulled up. Initially, it appeared that he was looking for a free kick, but replays instantly cleared up that Lovelace actually clutched the back of his left leg and that was the reason for going to the ground. Lovelace has now spoken out for the first time since the injury as he gave fans an update on social media.
