BATU PAHAT: Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says he will leave it to the Attorney General (AG) to explain the discharge not amounting to an acquittal (DNAA) granted to him.
"As the person involved , I do not have the right to comment but I have full confidence in the new AG and the DPP to give an explanation if necessary.
Zahid was asked about the criticism surrounding the decision to grant him a DNAA for all 47 graft charges involving Yayasan Akalbudi funds by the High Court after Deputy Public Prosecutor Datuk Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar applied for the charges to be dropped on Monday . Justice Datuk Collin Lawrence Sequerah in his judgment said the High Court made the decision after considering both arguments by the prosecution and the defence team.
