There are not 1, but 2 Stephen King adaptations that Zack Snyder would be perfect for, and King has already expressed admiration for Snyder's work.

Director Zack Snyder is perfectly suited to not one but two different Stephen King movie adaptations. Some directors are just perfectly suited to adapting author Stephen King’s work. Frank Darabont proved this with 1994’s incredibly uplifting The Shawshank Redemption and 2007’s incredibly bleak The Mist.

Zack Snyder Could Direct A New Version Of Cell Snyder’s propulsive, ultra-violent approach to the action horror sub-genre would be perfect for an adaptation of Cell. Released in 2006, Cell is an apocalyptic epic horror novel wherein a zombie outbreak occurs when cell signals start turning phone users into mindless, murderous monsters. Cell received a straight-to-VOD adaptation in 2016 after the project spent years in development hell, but this movie was a major letdown for novel fans.

Zack Snyder Would Be Perfect For A Tommyknockers Movie There is another Stephen King adaptation that Snyder’s directorial style is perfectly suited to, but this one is even more divisive. While Cell wasn’t rapturously received upon release, the novel is still considered a solid King effort and was well-liked by fans. In contrast, the novel The Tommyknockers was written at the height of King’s substance abuse problems, and the author himself wasn't a fan of the book.
