From the mind of the Justice League, Watchmen, and Army of the Dead director, the upcoming space opera film follows a woman named Kora who recruits a team of warriors from across the galaxy to fight a tyrannical government terrorizing her peaceful colony.

Rebel Moon's Star Wars History Explained Rebel Moon was originally conceived by Snyder as a Star Wars movie, which he pitched to Lucasfilm while he was in post-production on Man of Steel. The pitch was a more mature take on Star Wars inspired by the works of Akira Kurosawa, with Snyder calling it "Seven Samurai in space.
