A Zachary Levi movie that flopped at the box office has now become a global hit on Netflix. Overall, 2024 has been up and down in terms of box office performance. The year kicked off with the February release that would become one of the biggest blockbuster flops of the year: Argylle. Argylle was not only panned by critics, but it lost millions of dollars as it grossed $96.2 million on an estimated $200 million budget.

Based on the children's book of the same name, the film tells the story of an adult Harold as he leaves his drawing-filled childhood behind and learns how to adapt to adulthood. Harold and the Purple Crayon received negative reviews, scoring a 28% Tomatometer on Rotten Tomatoes.
Despite this box office slowness, Harold and the Purple Crayon has made it onto the Netflix global top 10. The film took the no. 10 slot for the week of November 4 to November 10, amassing 3.3 million views. Topping the list this week was the holiday film Meet Me Next Christmas, which had 18.1 million views. Also making it onto this week's top 10 were Time Cut, Don't Move, Martha, Sing, Alita: Battle Angel, The Secret Life of Pet s, Just Go with It, and The Angry Birds Movie 2.
