Eddie Hearn insists that most YouTubers fighting on influencer boxing cards are not making mega money like many people think
KSI himself headlined and was supported by a series of social media influencers on the undercard. While watching the event, light-heavyweight contender Lyndon Arthur expressed his frustrations.
He tweeted: “If ‘proper’ boxings fans supported us like the ‘YouTube’ boxing’s fans support them we’d get paid like they do! You lot moan at PPVs and don’t turn up to arenas until near the main event starts!” While Hearn accepts that main stars on YouTuber shows are doing well financially, he has claimed that influencer boxers on the undercards are in fact making less money than many professional boxers.: “I feel like now the value of a fighter is going to be examined harder than ever.
“Because there’s other fighters coming into the frame that are getting less money than fighters that don’t actually deliver numbers in boxing. “The Misfits Boxing – the perception about the YouTube boxing and those guys on the undercard is – I saw Lyndon Arthur’s conversation, ‘These guys are making X.’
