It appears no one noticed this mystery in plain sight.

The mystery begins in an appropriate place: the Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island. Even on the busiest of days, it’s a lightly visited part of the park — which is perhaps how the riddle stayed hidden for so long. To get to the island in the middle of the Rivers of America, guests must take a quick motorized ferry over. Once there, visitors can enjoy shady benches, a frontier-style fort and a series of dark, eerie tunnels through a pirate hideout.
Provost, who regularly films Disneyland secret spots, captured the riddle unknowingly earlier this year when he panned over a crude painting of dancing skeletons on a wall of the Pirate’s Lair. At first, he assumed they were simply for spooky ambiance, but Provost said an astute YouTube commenter observed it was likely some kind of code. Another added it looked similar to one used in a Sherlock Holmes story.
Provost compared the Disneyland skeletons to the"dancing men" code used in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's"The Adventure of the Dancing Men.""On Tom Sawyer Island, those dancing skeletons match up perfectly with the dancing men in the Sherlock Holmes book," Provost said."So now we can decipher the message on Tom Sawyer Island."
The match made, Provost easily decrypted the skeleton code to spell out:"Each answer be havin' three identical letters."
