) - YouTube TV subscribers need to brace themselves - and their bank accounts - as prices are set to rise again in 2025.
The streaming TV service sent an email to subscribers Wednesday saying that prices will increase from $72.99 per month to $82.99 per month starting Jan. 13, 2025. They say the increase in price is “to keep up with the rising cost of content and the investments we make in the quality of our service.” “We don’t make these decisions lightly, and we realize this has an impact on our members,” the email read. “We are committed to bringing you features that are changing the way we watch live TV, like unlimited DVR storage and multiview, and supporting YouTube TV’s breadth of content and vast on-demand library of movies and shows.”and the fifth price increase overall since the service launched in 2017. The original price tag for the service eight years ago was $35 per month.
