.DerekBlasberg speaks exclusively with FASHION about the launch
The hub will house a whole library of original fashion and beauty content from some of the industry’s biggest names, providing viewers with behind-the-scenes access to fashion shows, celebrity interviews and first-person content from the likes of Naomi Campbell, Tan France, Jen Atkin and more. Its fashion week coverage, in particular, is set to be gamechanging for fashionophiles eager to catch the action from the comfort of their homes.
The platform was born out of data. Blasberg notes in the official press release that “from 2014-2018, the number of Fashion & Beauty channels on YouTube has grown over 6 time, generating billions of views in the last year alone.” He says the new hub is giving people “what they want” and its goal is to be “a diverse and inclusive place.”
Speaking exclusively to FASHION about the launch , Blasberg says he has a few early favourites in terms of videos. “It’s really exciting to be a part of some fun collaborations that really showcase the best of both the YouTube creator universe and the fashion industry. My first collaboration was inviting the five creators to the Dior show last September, but introducing Louis Vuitton to Emma Chamberlain and the Dolan Twins was really fun.

His response? “We’d love to have more stylish Canadian content!
