Deason compares the gubernatorial candidate from El Paso to a 14-year-old, which is still far more mature than the owner of Mar-a-Lago.Re: “Abbott supports ending tax on tampons,” Metro, Sunday: I had to laugh. After all he’s done to restrict and take away a woman’s rights to her own body, Gov. Greg Abbott offers to remove the tax on tampons? Way to go Abbott! Ha-ha-ha.Senate Bill 797, as signed by the governor, requires that Texas public schools display donated posters containing the national motto, “In God We Trust,” the U.S. flag and the Texas flag. In keeping with the Texas Legislature’s practice of passing carefully crafted laws, SB 797 does not specify the maximum or minimum dimensions of the donated poster. I am considering donating a qualifying poster with the dimensions 1 millimeter by 2 millimeters. Since the law does not allow a magnifying glass, I will not include one.
