San Antonio is in Stage 2 water restrictions. Under that stage, landscape watering with an irrigation system, sprinkler or soaker hose is allowed once a week from 7-11 a.m. and 7-11 p.m. on designated watering days, and a reader is thankful that SAWS has kept the water flowing to San Antonians.
Oh, I also am a Johnny Come Lately as I purchased a house a mile from a quarry, and, yes, my house shakes every time the quarry dynamites.I commend the letter writer for her suggestion to bus Gov. Greg Abbott to New York. He would be welcomed with open arms by Mayor Eric Adams. From Ellis Island, he could watch the arrival of migrants in their seaworthy kayaks, makeshift rafts and paddle boards.
But to Trump, the presidency was an acquisition rather than an opportunity to serve. It was a chance to enrich his life, not the lives of the American people. What we have is the San Antonio Spurs. What we do not need is another large sports franchise that the city cannot support. Failure to protect the Spurs will lead to one of the greatest losses here since the closing of Kelly AFB.
