Temperatures for the high desert will be in the upper 90s to 106 degrees for Apple and Lucerne Valley — in Coachella Valley expect a high of 111 today. Highs for the San Fernando Valley and San Gabriel Valleys including Orange County inland areas will be mostly in the upper 80s. For the Inland Empire, highs will be up to 96 degrees.Coastal areas will be nice and sunny today with highs in the 70s, up to 80 degrees at some beaches.Looking ahead, forecasters say there will be some warming this weekend, but no heat wave for the valley and coasts.
