Free outdoor movie screenings this year include popular movies from 'Top Gun: Maverick' and 'Super Mario Bros' to Disney favorites 'Moana' and 'Lilo & Stitch'
This week marks the beginning of the 16th season of the Summer Movies in the Park series, which consists of outdoor movie screenings at various locations throughout San Diego county.
This year, some weekends will have a theme, including Juneteenth , Comic-Con , Ladies Night , International Dog Day , Hispanic Heritage Month and Halloween.This program began in 2007 to encourage the community to visit parks.
