The newly released trailer opens with a dramatic tone, guided by a woman’s voice. “They tried to silence him,” the voice says amid a black-and-white clip of YoungBoy Never Broke Again walking backstage at an arena. “They tried to bury him. Every scar became a story. The glow can’t be contained. It’s the takeover. The movement rises again and again. Tonight, the resurrection begins. It’s time to make America again, baby.” From there, the clip unfolds with a rapid montage of electrifying concert footage, interspersed with candid moments from life on the road. Among the more striking visuals is a headline referencing his , a topic that’s yet to be addressed at length by either party. The latter half of the trailer highlights YoungBoy performing his 2020 track “Kacey Talk,” before concluding with the film’s title and release date. According to the official synopsis, American YoungBoy documents the rap star’s “dynamic artistry, compelling stage presence, and widespread acclaim” of his wildly successful MASA Tour, which included 42 sold-out shows. The film will also feature “more personal moments” from YoungBoy’s tour run, including “backstage interactions, rehearsal sessions, and glimpses into his home and family life.”
