A young woman had to be rescued from Clarence Dock, in Leeds city centre, close to the Royal Armouries, after entering the water on Thursday night .
Fire crews from Hunslet and Leeds fire stations rushed to the scene after police requested assistance following reports of a woman in trouble in the Calder and Aire Navigation at about 6.30pm. Yorkshire Ambulance also attended the incident with the young female being pulled out of the water between 7-7.30pm after a small boat was deployed by firefighters.
The woman could be seen walking towards an ambulance following the rescue, with a large towel draped round her. It is unclear at the moment how she entered the water, but she is now in the care of the Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
