Walt Disney Studios has released the official Young Woman and the Sea trailer for its upcoming biographical drama.

All Rights Reserved.The video features Ridley as she portrays a young, talented, and determined swimmer who defied the odds by becoming the first woman to swim across the English Channel. The film is scheduled to arrive in select theaters on May 31.
Inspired by the extraordinary true story of Trudy Ederle, Young Woman and the Sea is directed by Joachim Rønning from a screenplay written by Jeff Nathanson. It is based on Glenn Stout’s novel of the same name. The film also stars Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Stephen Graham, Kim Bodnia, Christopher Eccleston, and Glenn Fleshler. In addition to leading the cast, Ridley is also serving as an executive producer alongside Rønning and John G. Scotti.
