Her husband died a week after she found out she was pregnant.
In June of 2020, Neazer went to a fertility doctor and was prescribed medication to help her get pregnant. Soon after that visit, Michael tested positive for Covid-19 and became sick. Neazer also contracted the virus, but while she recovered, her husband was admitted to the hospital. She worried every day for him and in her anxiety, she never got around to taking the medication her fertility doctor prescribed.
Seven months later, she also lost her father to Covid-19 and she worried more than ever that her daughter wouldn’t have a father figure in her life. Acquaintances at first, the two built a friendship. Reid, 30, would frequently check in on her and make sure she was healthy while she was grieving the loss of her husband.Shiloh was born in March 2021. Concerned for Neazer and the baby, Reid kept checking in on them through voice memos and frequent text messages.
