A young man was killed after allegedly running a red light on a stand-up scooter and being hit by an MTA bus in Queens. The incident occurred on 89th Avenue in Jamaica, and the victim was pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital.
The victim was riding the scooter westbound on 89th Avenue in Jamaica when he appeared to have crossed an intersection at 168th Street against the traffic light just after 10:30 p.m., police said.The man was rushed to Jamaica Hospital where he was pronounced dead.The MTA bus was traveling northbound on 168th Street and struck the scooter driver in the intersection, according to cops.
