BRUNSWICK, Ohio -- A group of us from around Medina County have been working on finding the stories of Revolutionary War soldiers buried in Medina County.

The county wasn’t formed until 1818 and many of what would become the townships weren’t even named during the Revolutionary War. You must be an amateur photographer, 18 or older. You can submit original photos of the landscapes, activities, buildings, people and events that make our county unique. Internet safety speaker and author Jesse Weinberger will share digital parenting strategies and insights during a presentation at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 13 in the Brunswick Middle School Performing Arts Center.She notes that while we provide children with devices, we often don’t set proper boundaries or supervision, leaving them vulnerable to online risks.

To support family attendance, Brunswick High School VOFT students will provide free childcare for pre-K and older children during the event.Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach and the Wadsworth Public Library continue “Live at the Library,” with Jen Maurer playing guitar and singing a variety of covers and original tunes at 2 p.m. March 9 at the Wadsworth Public Library, 132 Broad St.

This program is free. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, call 419-853-6016.Over the Feb. 1 weekend, Medina High School’s Speech and Debate team, led by coaches Tiffany Nicol and Kailey Edelman, showcased their talent and determination at the OSDA Akron District Tournament.

The Hibernian brothers collected money and goods at their Christmas party in December, specifically to assist this Catholic Charities agency. Medina Student Council advisers Laura Calaiacovo and Erin Puskas and their students engaged in dynamic workshops focused on leadership development. The Medina County Safe Communities Coalition encourages all drivers -- new and seasoned -- to buckle up, avoid distractions, drive sober and obey all traffic signs and signals.
