Concerned parents at Seguin ISD say bullying is getting out of hand. Many claim their children are victims.
Many claim their children are victims."It's sad that that school district is horrible," Jadie Wilkerson said. "Nobody wants to send their kids to those schools because of this."
"One day I come home and she's lying on the carpet," Jadie said. "And I'm wondering what's going on...it was scary moment for me."But after multiple cries for help to school administration officials, Jadie said something needed to change. They sent us a statement which partially says mental health awareness is a top priority for the district.Laraine Turner is the Vice President of Precious Life Suicide Prevention."Well, it just breaks our heart, because we have resources in place, and all we're asking is for give us an opportunity to come in to, you know, let the students know that they're not alone," Turner said. "That there is someone out there that wants to help, that is there to listen.
Seguin ISD is dedicated to supporting our students' social and emotional well-being. Our district provides several resources to our students and staff, working alongside our community partners. Region Service Center 20, neighboring school districts, our local law enforcement, Bluebonnet Trails Community Services, Communities in Schools, and the Seguin ISD Ministerial Alliance are among those who have supported our district in this time of great need.
