Shock jock radio host Ray Hadley has skewered NSW Liberal president Don Harwin after the party failed to submit the paperwork for about 140 candidates by the required deadline for the state’s council elections.
Radio shock jock Ray Hadley has lashed out at NSW Liberal president Don Harwin after the party failed to nominate about 140 candidates in key council areas.

Picture: NCA NewsWire / pool / Jenny Evans The shock jock’s fierce lashing of Mr Harwin was just beginning as Hadley hit out at the beleaguered politician’s role within the Liberal Party.
Hadley continued to describe Mr Harwin as a “left-wing power broker” who did the bidding for “left faction knife throwers” that tried to “control the parliament while totally unelected”. Hadley lashed the move as a sign of Mr Harwin’s “incompetence” and was baffled by the prospect of the NSW Labor leader helping his political opponents amid this blunder.
“I guess he thought by writing to Chris Minns was some hope because he’s more of a Labor politician than a Liberal politician.Hadley’s scathing smack down of Mr Harwin comes after the NSW Electorate Commissioner Dr Matthew Phillips rejected the state Liberal Party’s request to extend the nomination deadline to August 21.
