It was spotted on the beta versions of the app on Android and iOS 👀 WhatsApp TechNave
As shared by WABetaInfo, the short video feature is currently available to selected beta testers on both iOS and Android. Specifically, it’s available on WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.6.0.73 and WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.8.19.
Of course, WhatsApp is already supporting a video-sharing feature between users, but this particular one is recorded in real-time by tapping on a video camera button on the left side of the text box. Essentially, it’s similar to sending audio messages on WhatsApp, only, well, it’s video. It is unknown when this feature would make its way to the masses, but WABetaInfo claimed that it would roll out in “the coming weeks”. Until then, make sure to stay tuned to TechNave for more trending tech news such as this.
