Yield on 10-year German government bond turns negative after downbeat data
The yield on Germany's 10-year government bond, known as the bund, briefly edged below 0% Friday after a disappointing round of purchasing-managers-index readings for the eurozone. The yield TMBMKDE-10Y, -86.76% was last seen at 0.02% and had briefly edged into negative territory. Yields fall as bond prices rise. Germany's 10-year yield has been hovering back near 0% for some time, seeing renewed pressure as investors looked for havens amid worries over slowing growth.
