Yemeni government forces recapture airport and most towns in Aden earlier lost to UAE-backed separatists – officials
Fighting shook Aden again on Wednesday when government forces attacked the Yemeni city's eastern suburbs and fought artillery duels with southern separatists, residents said, deepening the rift between supposed allies in a Saudi-led coalition.
Information Minister Moammar al Eryani said on Twitter that government forces had taken Aden's airport from the separatists. But the UAE has been at odds with the government as it backs the Islah party because it's seen as close to the Muslim Brotherhood, a movement which the Gulf state has been fighting across the Middle East and North Africa. Islah denies being a member of the Brotherhood.
