The release date for Yellowjackets season 2 is revealed in a new short teaser video that features a number of bloody, ominous, and cryptic images from the show's 1996 plane crash storyline. The Showtime series stars Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Juliette Lewis, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Samantha Hanratty, and Sophie Thatcher.

The teaser video gave quick glimpses of foreboding imagery, including the snowy Canadian wilderness, hearts drawn in blood, and the mysterious Yellowjackets symbol carved into a blood-stained tree, before revealing season 2's March 24 release date.
Alongside expanding the cast, Yellowjackets season 2 will also answer many mysteries that season 1 established through its dual storylines. Though season 2 will address the horrific lengths that the plane crash survivors went to in order to survive, upcoming episodes of Yellowjackets will also examine the many discrepancies between the 1996 and present day storylines.
Yellowjackets season 1 captivated audiences through its tense mysteries, brutal moments, and implications of darker things to come for the survivors of the 1996 cast, and season 2's first teaser promises that upcoming episodes will continue to build on the mysteries that the present day cast are desperate to keep hidden.
