Following the Season 2 finale, it has been confirmed that a Yellowjackets bonus episode will premiere on Showtime ahead of Season 3.
“Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story, and coming-of-age drama, it tells the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness,” reads the series’ synopsis.
“The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.”Yellowjackets stars Christina Ricci, Juliette Lewis, Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Samantha Hanratty, Sophie Thatcher, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Steven Krueger, and Warren Kole. Season 2 also featured the introduction of Emmy-nominated actress Lauren Ambrose as adult Van Palmer, Simone Kessell as adult Lottie, and Elijah Wood as citizen detective Walter. Yellowjackets is created and executive produced by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson. Executive producers are Drew Comins, Karyn Kusama, and Jonathan Lisco, who is also serving as the showrunner. It is produced by Entertainment One.Maggie Dela Paz has been writing about the movie and TV industry for more than four years now.
