The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning across Leeds and wider Yorkshire, warning of snow and ice over the coming days.

There is also forecast some patchy snow on higher parts, both due to wintry showers and cold rain on early Tuesday morning. Difficult driving conditions can be expected.The Met Office says: "A mainly dry and bright, but cold Boxing Day morning with a few wintry showers, largely confined to the Pennines. Showers becoming increasingly frequent and widespread this afternoon, with some hill snow. Feeling chilly in brisk winds. Maximum temperature 6 °C.
