A yellow weather warning has been issued for the whole of Scotland.
A yellow weather warning for wind has been issued by the Met Office for the whole country between the hours of 8pm on Tuesday, January 31 and 9am on Wednesday, February 1.
Forecasters said travel could be disrupted in the affected areas, such as ferry crossings, during the high winds, and there could also be some damage to buildings. The Met Office said while gusts of up to 60mph are expected “fairly widely” across Scotland, it is “uncertain” how the weather could affect the central belt.
