The report indicates a south-westerly swell with wave heights of 4 and 6 meters between Cape Columbine and Cape Agulhas on Wednesday morning, spreading to Alexander Bay and Plettenberg Bay by the evening and into Thursday . Wave heights will reportedly subsidise from Thursday night.
Impacts to be expected include localised disruptions of small harbours and ports for short periods, a risk of people being swept off rocks, and difficulty of navigation at sea for small vessels and personal water crafts . “This may lead to vessels taking on water and capsizing in locality,” the report notes.
