KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor is hopeful that the Year of the Rabbit would bring prosperity to Sabah with the people putting Covid-19 pandemic behind them.In his Chinese New Year message, he expressed hope that the Chinese community would be able to celebrate the lunar new year in an atmosphere of harmony and goodwill with people of other races.
State Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Christina Liew also said the Chinese New Year holds promises of hope, progress and prosperity. “As we usher in the Year of the Rabbit, we will face the economic challenges ahead with a positive outlook, dynamism and strong resilience in seeking viable solutions.
Liew said the lunar new year was a celebration not only for the Chinese community but also for all other races of diverse cultures in the spirit of unity.
