Pada 6 Julai tahun lalu, Yasin atau nama sebenarnya Muhammad Yasin Sulaiman, 48, bernasib baik apabila tidak berdepan dengan hukuman gantung sampai mati atas pertuduhan mengedar dadah jenis Kanabis seberat 214 gram.
Sehubungan itu, Mahkamah Sesyen di sini hari ini menetapkan kes berkenaan disebut pada 20 Februari ini.
“Representasi pertama ditolak mungkin ada masalah teknikal namun saya akan tulis sendiri untuk representasi kedua,” jelasnya. Peguam Ariff Azami Hussein ketika mengesahkan keputusan representasi memaklumkan pihak pembelaan belum menerima makluman berhubung perkara itu. Representasi setebal 47 muka surat itu turut mengandungi rawatan yang diperlukannya, alasan kemanusiaan, rayuan melibatkan keluarga dan keadaan terkini Yasin.
Bagi kesalahan itu, Yasin didakwa mengikut Seksyen 6 Akta Dadah Berbahaya 1952 dan boleh dihukum dibawah Seksyen 39A akta sama.
