The New York Yankees could be in the market to make a few big moves ahead of the trade deadline at the end of the month.

The New York Yankees have struggled a lot over the last few weeks, and they've slowly fallen down the American League standings because of it.The Yankees will need to get aggressive ahead of the trade deadline, or else they may continue to fade in the standings.

New York needs to add an infielder, a starting pitcher, and potentially some bullpen help. With that in mind, there are likely going to be big leaguers in the Bronx who don't stay with the team beyond July.Yardbarker's Jacob Mountz recently urged the Yankees to cut ties with former top prospect Oswald Peraza this season.'This year, Peraza is hitting a mere .154 with three home runs in 130 at-bats. Beyond that, there isn't much more that needs to be said,' Mountz wrote. 'Once a top prospect, Peraza hasn't been able to hold his own on the major league level. Out of minor-league options coming into the season, Peraza was squeezed onto the Opening Day roster as a backup infielder.'With Oswaldo Cabrera on the shelf, Peraza has become more of a regular, primarily at third, which only serves to highlight the Yankees' lack of depth and blatant inaction. His .487 OPS is the third lowest among all third basemen with at least 100 at-bats, ahead of only Jonah Bride and Josh Rojas .'The Yankees are expected to pursue a third baseman at the trade deadline. One of the top options is Arizona Diamondbacks slugger Eugenio Suárez. If the Bronx Bombers are able to land somebody like Suárez, there's a good chance they'll cut ties with Peraza.New York could explore the possibility of trading him in a deal that nets them a star, but it's not very likely given how poorly he's played this year.Either way, Peraza is one of the low-hanging fruits on the team that the front office is reportedly looking to upgrade.More MLB: Struggling Yankees 'Would Love To Acquire' $66 Million Slugger
