New York Yankees superstar outfielder Cody Bellinger kick-started the American League All-Star team, completing a 4-0 shutout victory over the National League

With bases loaded in the first, Bellinger drove in a pair on a clutch two RBI single. He led his team with a hit and two RBI, resulting in him receiving the 2026 All-Star Game MVP.
This is his first time receiving the honor, as he made his third All-Star appearance and his first since joining the Yankees last offseason.also scored a run during that first inning with an RBI single. Miguel Vargas of the White Sox piled on the final run with a deep solo shot in the eighth. These three batters recorded three of their team’s seven total hits in a mid-summer spectacle dominated by prolific pitching.
Blue Jays ace Dylan Cease recorded the win by tossing three strikeouts in the first. Michael Wacha and Joe Ryan added four strikeouts, as Cam Smith threw two of his own. In total, the AL pitching staff combined for 15 strikeouts, with veteran closer Aroldis Chapman earning the final one in the ninth.
The NL, on the other hand, was held scoreless and to just three hits, with the first coming from Mets outfielderSurprisingly, Phillies sluggers Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper were kept off the home stadium base paths. As were Freddie Freeman and Max Muncy of the Dodgers, who were without two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani. The NL was plagued by Phillies starter Christopher Sanchez, who gave up three earned runs, three hits, and two walks in the first.
