Jon Berti, who played for the Yankees last season, criticizes the Dodgers for their disrespectful post-World Series comments directed at the Yankees, claiming they minimized the Yankees' achievement in reaching the Fall Classic.

Jon Berti didn't take kindly to the trash talk that emerged from the Dodgers clubhouse following their World Series victory over the Yankees last October. He felt the Dodgers ' post-game comments disrespected the Yankees ' achievement in reaching the Fall Classic.

Berti, who spent last season with the Yankees and played in four postseason games, expressed his disappointment, stating, 'I don't know if I've ever heard a World Series-winning team talk as badly as they did about the World Series-losing team. It felt like we were being disrespected to the point of we didn't even belong in the World Series.' The infielder acknowledged the Yankees' successful regular season, winning their division and defeating both Kansas City and Cleveland en route to the World Series. He admitted, 'We won a lot of games last year. We won our division. So we deserved to be there, unfortunately, we didn't perform at our best.' Despite Freddie Freeman's walk-off grand slam in the 10th inning of Game 1 preventing the Yankees from securing a victory, they managed to avoid a sweep with a Game 4 win at Yankee Stadium.Berti recognized the Dodgers' superior performance in the seven-game series, stating, 'Unfortunately, we ran into a team that played better than us in a seven-game series and they deserved to win. So I guess they can say whatever they want at this point.' Berti will now play for the Chicago Cubs this season after signing a one-year deal last week. This marks his fourth team during his MLB career, which has also included stints in Toronto, Miami, and New York
