The Yankees slugger capped off a historic season by being named the winner of the 2022 American League Most Valuable Player Award.

The slugger set a new American League record by belting 62 home runs during the season, beating Roger Maris' record of 61. He also led the AL in a number of offensive categories, including RBIs, slugging percentage, on-base percentage, OPS+ and total bases. He fell just four points shy of winning the batting title, which would have completed the Triple Crown.
Judge is set to become a free agent this winter, after turning down a contract offer from the Yankees at the beginning of the season.
