Early settlers, both Civil War and World War I soldiers, formerly enslaved persons, and others who lived during the height of the Village, as Daphne was once referred to, are buried here. In recent years, research and ground penetrating radar indicated 200 or more people are buried in this cemetery on land now owned by Sandy Sansing Ford Lincoln who purchased and erected a monument in 2023 to honor the known and unknown who are laid to rest at this location.
