The Yale police union passed out controversial flyers depicting an image of the Grim Reaper to new students on campus this week warning of an increase in crime near campus.
New Haven Mayor Justin Elicker described the pamphlets as"childish" and"selfish" during a Tuesday press conference, according to FOX 61.
Yale Police Chief Anthony Campbell said he was"disgusted" that the police union chose"to take this path." The Yale Police Benevolent Association is described online as"an independent, unaffiliated union, that protects members’ rights under the current bargaining agreement and the National Labor Relations Act."
