The XFL’s Orlando Guardians have an impostor on their hands.
Quarterback Quenten Dormady was investigated for giving out plays from the team’s playbook to other teams, according to multiple reports. The XFL’s vice president of communications, Jeff Altstadter, released a statement announcing the reversal due to a recent development.
“The league is actively reviewing a personnel issue regarding a player on the Orlando Guardians who was released from the team yesterday afternoon,” the statement read. “Additional information on the situation was brought to the attention of the league overnight, and the league has reinstated the player while it conducts a formal investigation into the issue. The situation is under review, and we will share more details regarding the findings as appropriate.”Quinten Dormady played his final collegiate season at Central Michigan. While the statement did not name Dormady, it was issued to Fox News Digital following an inquiry.will take place, per Fox News Digital.
He put up 1,282 yards and seven touchdowns at Tennessee from 2015-2017 before transferring in 2018 to Houston, where he barely saw the field. In 2019, the quarterback landed at Central Michigan, where he had 2,312 and 14 touchdowns for the Chippewas in his final collegiate season. If Orlando’s plays were in fact being leaked then it’s not a surprise they are one of three teams in the XFL that is 0-2.In Sunday’s 30-12 loss to the San Antonio Brahmas, head coach Terrell Buckley called out Guardian’s players mid-game for not putting in enough of an effort.
