Xbox Game Pass has had a solid December so far, offering the service to new members for only $1, no matter the tier, while also adding in new day-one releases and older games to its catalog. However, Game Pass isn't done yet, as the service has now added four classics to round out December 2025.
It's a great way to end the year, and you may want to check out one or more of these titles. Xbox Game Pass has announced, via its Xbox Wire blog, that four new games are coming to its Essential plan via its Retro Classics update for December. This also includes more games coming to Xbox Play Anywhere and Xbox Cloud Gaming. The Retro Classics collection is explained as"Xbox Game Pass subscribers can join weekly tournaments, take on community challenges and enjoy a growing library of Activision and Blizzard games with the Retro Classics collection." It's always expanding, and that includes four new games this month. Xbox Game Pass Announces Its Final Classics For 2025 The games joining Retro Classics this month are: You'll be able to earn Achievements and compete with friends for specific challenges and share scores on leaderboards. Other than getting to check out older games, the whole point of Retro Classics is arguably bragging rights, so these games are worth experiencing with friends. You Can Get Four Retro Bangers If you're in the mood for some old-school games, then these four titles are definitely worth grabbing. Codename: ICEMAN is a graphical adventure game by Sierra On-line . Sierra also made Police Quest 2: The Vengeance, as the protagonist from the first game attempts to catch an escaped convict. As a huge fan of Sierra, I'm probably most excited to give these two a try. Activision's Plaque Attack is a bit like Space Invaders, except you're defending teeth from food by controlling a tube of toothpaste. Space Shuttle: A Journey into Space, also made by Activision, is a space sim that was hailed for being realistic for its time. All four titles came out around 1983, and definitely show their age, but are worth trying out if you're looking for something retro. As Game Pass continues to add to its Retro Classics collection, these four titles help round out a pretty nice December for the service. If you're feeling nostalgic this holiday season, trying out these four games on Xbox Game Pass can be a nice way to end the year.
