is the most decorated pass-catcher in the 2023 NFL Draft. Hutchinson departs the program after accounting for an astounding 254 receptions, 2,929 receiving yards, and 15 touchdowns. Hutchinson set the program’s single-season record with 107 receptions in 2022.
Xavier Hutchinson: I didn’t experience any culture shock going to Brenham, Texas. It was a super-small town though. It’s nothing like Jacksonville, Florida. Xavier Hutchinson: Yes sir, I don’t blame you one bit . I had a Canadian teammate at Iowa State. I know it’s bad up there [in Canada]. He was always telling me how 20-30 degrees was nothing to him .Xavier Hutchinson: It was amazing. I fulfilled a dream of mine by participating at the NFL Scouting Combine. I told myself when I was a kid that I wanted to be at the combine. To be there felt so surreal. I just tried to soak up the experience.
I might pick up an extra six yards after the catch. You never know when those six yards can hurt the defense and swing the momentum in our favor. I’d say my yards-after-catch ability is my first X-factor. Any predicament I find myself in at the next level, I know I’m going to be comfortable with that situation because I’ve seen it before. I’ve been through it 36 games in a row . The only difference is going to be that I’m in the NFL.
