However, Alonso has been handed a major injury blow to his squad after Leverkusen star Amine Adli suffered a leg injury during the draw with Brest in the Champions League. It has already been confirmed by Leverkusen that Adli will be sidelined until January at the earliest with the injury, meaning he will miss the clash against Liverpool next month.
