AeroHT's X2, which is a two-seater flying car equipped with manual and autonomous driving modes, was demonstrated at Beijing Daxing International Airport on Sunday.
X2 flying car, which is developed by an affiliate of China-based Xpeng, took off its first flight in Beijing as the company reportedly prepares to get orders for the flying car by the last quarter of 2024.
According to the Chinese media, the plan included scenarios such as emergency rescue, logistics and distribution, cultural tourism, commuting and more. The fifth-generation flying car, which conducted its maiden global flight in Dubai in 2022, does not produce any carbon dioxide emissions during flight and is claimed to be a step forward in the pursuit of urban green transportation.
