The Washington State Department of Transportation is conducting maintenance work near the SR 99 downtown Tunnel. This work will not close the tunnel, but instead the southbound off-ramp to South Royal Brougham Way will close both Wednesday and Thursday, between 9 p.

m. and 5 a.m.Paving and ADA Compliance project this week between Des Moines and SeaTac. This project upgrades more than 30 sidewalk ramps to American with Disabilities Act standards and repaves 2 miles of SR 99. Wednesday through Friday, drivers will be reduced to a single lane between SR 516 and S. 216th Street, beginning as early as 8 p.m. through 5 a.m. Contractors will be removing temporary signals that were installed during construction, which is now in the final stage. At least one lane will remain open during work hours. Drivers who typically use this route to access the SEA airport should expect delays.Drivers will see lane and ramp closures through SEA this week in the I-5 and SR 509 interchange vicinity. WSDOT crews will keep busy by installing signage, performing landscaping projects, and continuing with pavement work. This is part of the9:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. – The northbound I-5 exit to SR 516 will close overnight. A signed detour will be in place.9:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. – The northbound I-5 exit to 24th Avenue S. will close overnight. A signed detour will be in place.8 p.m. to 5 a.m. – One lane in each direction of SR 509 will close overnight from S. 156th Street to S. 168th Street.8:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. – Up to three lanes of northbound I-5 will close from 54th Avenue E. to Porter Way, nightly. Two lanes remain open.11 p.m. to 5:15 a.m. – Up to three lanes of southbound I-5 will close from Porter Way to 54th Avenue E. nightly. Two lanes remain open.8:30 p.m. to 5:45 a.m. – Up to two lanes of southbound I-5 will close from Porter Way to 54th Avenue E. Three lanes remain open.11 p.m. to 7 a.m. – Up to three lanes of northbound I-5 will close from 54th Avenue E. to Porter Way. Two lanes remain open.8 p.m. to 5 a.m. – One lane of northbound SR 509 will close from Alexander Avenue to Taylor Way. One lane remains open.7 a.m. to 3 p.m. – One lane of southbound SR 99 east of the Wapato Way roundabout will close daily. One lane remains open.8 p.m. to 6 a.m. – One lane of northbound 54th Avenue E. between Fourth Street E. and Eighth Street E. will close overnight. One lane remains open.8 p.m. to 6 a.m. – One lane of southbound 54th Avenue E. from Eighth Street E. to Fourth Street E. will close.
