The road sign has been wrong for many years until a Blog Preston reader got in touch to point out the mistake.
The incorrectly named part of Strand Road, which lies between Watery Lane and the Marsh Road flyover, should have been named West Strand.have confirmed that the section will be receiving a new sign, where the correct name of West Strand will be in place.A Preston City Council spokesperson said: “Nobody has raised the issue previously, if they had, we would have corrected the matter sooner. We are acting as quick as we can now that it has been brought to our attention.
